Milltronics Makes Powerful Showing at IMTS 2008

7/1/2008

Milltronics CNC Machines is showcasing more than 15 machines at IMTS 2008, one of the company’s strongest showings. Included are several new products focusing on productivity for small shops.

“We want to show customers how we are evolving and innovating to help them meet their machining challenges,” said Benji Rashleger, Milltronics Director of Operations. Among the innovations being featured at IMTS are:

·         The new 8200 Series CNC Control featuring .488 ms update loop for incredibly fast processing performance and contouring capabilities, enhanced connectivity with USB Flash drive, and 3D graphics;

·         Twin table bridge mills that shuffle two separate tables riding on a common base in and out of the work envelope, resulting in uncompromised milling performance while maximizing an operator’s efficiency;

·         A new slant bed lathe with full c-axis live tooling;

·         A 35-inch swing lathe with 10-inch bore;

·         A new horizontal machining center and 12-inch chuck slant bed lathe targeted at increasing production with affordable machines; and

·         A VM20IL high speed machining center with 15,000 rpm in-line spindle.

Milltronics will also participate in the MT Connect demonstrations at the IMTSEmergingTechnologyCenter. MT Connect is an open communication standard for transporting data on the factory floor.

“It should be clear to the industry that we are leveraging our new relationship with Liberty Diversified Industries (LDI) to accelerate innovations for our customers,” Rashleger said.
